History

The G.M. Syed Studies Board (GSSB) was formally established on 17 August 2008, in the historic town of Sann, Sindh, Pakistan. Sann holds deep symbolic importance as the birthplace and home of G.M. Syed, the visionary founder of the Jeay Sindh movement. Known as the "Father of the Sindhi Nation" and a global ambassador of harmony, Syed’s life work forms the bedrock of the board’s existence.

Initially to ensure a structured start, the organization elected its first cabinet of office bearers for the 2008–2010 term:

  • Chairman: Dr. Hyder Lashari
  • Senior Vice Chairman: Dr. Aziz Soomro
  • Vice Chairman: Dr. Sarang Ansari
  • General Secretary: Khalil Ansari (Advocate)
  • Additional Secretary: Ghulam Hussain Laghari
  • Finance Secretary: Dildar Lashari
  • Media Secretary: Engineer Raza Babar
